As part of our continued commitment to youth empowerment, agribusiness, and community resilience, Action for Community Resilience Group (ACRG) is deepening its partnerships and expanding agricultural initiatives across Sierra Leone.
🔹 Strengthening Collaboration with Smart Youth Organizations (SYO)
Following months of successful joint project implementation, ACRG has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Smart Youth Organizations (SYO) to enhance youth-led agribusiness and sustainable farming. This partnership focuses on resource pooling, technical expertise sharing, and national deployment strategies to scale impactful agricultural solutions. With SYO’s support, we aim to accelerate climate-smart farming and create economic opportunities for young people in agriculture.

Engaging with the National Youth Commission (NYC) South Office
To align our 2025 strategic focus with national and regional structures, ACRG paid a familiarization visit to the National Youth Commission (NYC) South Office, where we presented our 2024 Annual Report and discussed key priority areas. The NYC Southern Coordinator welcomed our engagement and emphasized the importance of regional collaboration, encouraging more potent synergy to address youth and community development challenges.

🔹 Expanding Agricultural Footprint: Farm Visit & Cultivation Progress
Building on our groundnut and cassava cultivation across 10 hectares in 2024, ACRG and SYO visited 15 additional hectares of farmland now under cultivation for 2025. This expansion demonstrates our commitment to scaling youth agribusiness, strengthening food security, and promoting sustainable agriculture. By integrating innovative practices and community-driven solutions, we are paving the way for a resilient and economically viable agricultural sector led by young people.
Through these strategic partnerships and on-the-ground expansion, ACRG continues to drive meaningful impact, ensuring that youth play a leading role in transforming agriculture and fostering economic resilience.
